SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/29/15 -- Eden, the first company to provide on-demand, on-site IT support for your home, announced today that it's expanded its offerings with a new service designed specifically for fast-growing businesses. EdenBusiness, available starting today, was crafted for companies that want zero network downtime, simple office installation and setup, and on-demand help from an Eden Wizard for any office maintenance need. The service is initially available in San Francisco, with geographic expansion planned in the coming months. Business clients pay on a simple hourly basis for on-demand assistance, with zero upfront cost.
EdenBusiness services include:
- IT Support - Network and security solutions, computer and mobile device troubleshooting, A/V installation, and technology setup for new employees.
- Office Maintenance - For office maintenance needs, Eden has the best handymen, electricians, painters, and other skilled team members.
- Account Manager - All Eden clients receive a dedicated account manager to ensure responsiveness, speed, and accountability for all projects.
Launched out of the most recent Y Combinator class, Eden just raised $3.3M in seed funding from top-tier venture capital firms and angel investors such as Canvas Venture Fund, SV Angel, Redpoint Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Index Ventures, Comcast Ventures, and Paul Buchheit, among others. Earlier this month, Eden revealed its intent to use the funding in part to enter new markets.
"Eden already has a great reputation for solving challenging tech problems in your home," said Joe Du Bey, co-founder and CEO of Eden. "Now we'll also come to your office. There is a huge need across the millions of fast-growing businesses in the US alone, and we want to help."
San Francisco startup Tilt was one of the first businesses to use Eden on a regular basis. James Beshara, CEO and co-founder of Tilt, noted: "I first used Eden to install a TV in my apartment. I loved the convenience and ease of the experience, and recommended the service to Tilt's office manager when we had a similar need at our headquarters. A few weeks later, we rely on Eden on an almost daily basis for a wide variety of IT and maintenance needs. It's been really fantastic." Beshara even went on to become an investor in Eden after the experience.
Du Bey said that in recent weeks, as the word spread about Eden's on-demand technical services throughout the Bay Area, more businesses began taking advantage of it -- and often their needs went beyond the IT realm. "We noticed that business needs were more varied than consumer needs," said Du Bey. "So we decided to launch an offering just for businesses that provides a broader set of services fulfilled by our highly skilled Eden Wizards."
The majority of Eden Wizards are company employees with years of experience in their fields, though occasionally Eden relies on contractors for highly specialized jobs.
EdenBusiness clients are matched with a dedicated account manager, and Eden Wizards are matched to each individual job based on their skillsets, availability, and when relevant, client familiarity. Businesses can schedule Eden Wizards on demand or arrange for a regular schedule -- for example, having on-site IT help desk hours every Friday morning, with the same Eden Wizards each week, who get to know the client's needs and internal processes.
